The Center-Based Child Development Program serves children between the ages of 2.6 and 5.2 years. The curriculum is a comprehensive educational program, developed with emphasis on promoting self-esteem, and developing skills in a wide range, including cognitive and functional academic skills, expressive and receptive communication skills, literacy/pre-literacy skills, numerical concept skill development, social and emotional skills, personal hygiene skills, play skills, as well as fine and gross motor skill development. The program also utilizes non-traditional learning vehicles, such as field trips and a music program.
Eligibility is based on income, and is available to eligible parents who are working, enrolled in school or seeking employment. The tuition is subsidized by the program, so there is generally no out-of-pocket cost for the quality child development services offered through this program.
